Vague Recollections

In 1964 Gibson Benny became President of the Old Boys and two well known bludgers in David Bell & Neil Badger put their hands up to be Vice-Presidents, knowing that VP's never do anything. Unfortunately, Gib was transferred to New Guinea shortly thereafter and it was up to one of these two to take over. Dave claimed that as he was working and doing part-time Uni ho would sadly have to decline and let Neil Badger (self), who was a full-time student, have the honour. I remained the President for a number of years and have fond memories of the Sky-lounge balls, the progressive dinners and car trials. I recall Peter Bradford competing in one car trial and on the dirt section out near Windsor he hit a bloody great rock which raised the floor level on the passenger side of his car, an Austin Healey Sprite I think, by about a foot.
